Product details

Cooking for one, two or a full table is easier when you have the right pan for each job. This pre-seasoned cast iron skillet set gives you up to four sizes, from 5.5 to 10.2 inches, that stack on a shelf or hang on a wall. Pick the 4-piece set for every size, the 3-piece set (6.3, 7.9 and 10.2 inch) for everyday meals, or the 2-piece set (7.9 and 10.2 inch) for the two pans most kitchens reach for first.

Each pan is solid cast iron with a dark, pre-seasoned surface and no synthetic non-stick coating, so there is nothing to chip or peel into your food. Use the small pans for eggs and pancakes, and the big one for searing a steak or frying chicken. The seasoning builds with every meal, so the surface gets smoother with use. They work on gas and induction cooktops, and two pour spouts on every pan make it easy to drain oil or fat.

Care is simple: rinse by hand, dry right away and rub in a thin layer of oil. The care guide below covers cleaning, re-seasoning and rust spots, so the set stays in good shape for the long run.

Is this right for me?

It may be right for you if you want

A pan for every jobSizes from a single egg to a family breakfast

What makes it different?

Many cast iron pans arrive bare and need to be seasoned before the first meal. Every pan in this set is pre-seasoned, so you can rinse it, dry it and start cooking.
A set means there is a pan for every job, from a single egg to a family breakfast, instead of one pan doing everything. The solid cast iron bodies hold steady heat for searing and frying, and they work on gas and induction cooktops.
There is no synthetic non-stick coating to wear off. With simple care the seasoning keeps building, and if it ever wears or rusts you can re-season the pan, which thin coatings on other pans do not allow.

How do I care for it?

  • Let the pan cool until it is warm, then rinse it with hot water.
  • Scrub gently with a brush or sponge. A little mild dish soap is fine. For stuck-on food, rub it with coarse salt.
  • Do not soak it in the sink and do not use the dishwasher.
  • Dry it right away with a towel, then warm it on a low burner for a minute until no moisture is left.
  • Wipe a very thin layer of cooking oil over the inside and outside, then wipe off the excess.
  • Store it completely dry. Hang it by the handle hole, or put a paper towel between pans if you stack them.

How do I use it?

Step 1
Wash each pan with warm water before the first use and dry it completely.

Step 2
Pick the size that fits the meal, then preheat it on low to medium heat for a few minutes. Cast iron heats slowly and holds heat well.

Step 3
Add a little oil or butter, then your food.

Step 4
Cook as usual. The whole pan gets hot, so use a mitt or towel on the handle.

Step 5
Let it cool, clean it and rub in a thin coat of oil (see the care steps).

Ready to cook the day it arrives

Ready to cook the day it arrives Pre-seasoned.

Every pan in the set is pre-seasoned, so you do not have to season anything yourself before the first meal. Rinse, dry, add a little oil and start on eggs, pancakes or a weeknight steak.

There is no synthetic non-stick coating to chip or peel. Each time you cook with a little fat the seasoning builds, so the pans get smoother and more non-stick with use.

The right size for every meal

The right size for every meal

Fry a single egg in the 5.5 inch pan, warm a tortilla or make a couple of pancakes in the 6.3 or 7.9 inch pans, and cook a full breakfast or two steaks in the 10.2 inch pan. The solid cast iron bodies heat slowly and hold that heat, which is what you want for searing and frying.

Two pour spouts on every pan let you drain extra oil without a mess, and the hole in each handle lets you hang the set on hooks or a rail to save cabinet space.

Frequently asked questions

Which set should I pick?

The 4-piece set has every size: 14 cm (5.5 in), 16 cm (6.3 in), 20 cm (7.9 in) and 26 cm (10.2 in). The 3-piece set drops the smallest pan and keeps 16, 20 and 26 cm for everyday cooking. The 2-piece set is the 20 cm (7.9 in) and 26 cm (10.2 in) pans, the two sizes most people use most.

Is it ready to use out of the box?

Yes. Every pan is pre-seasoned at the factory. Wash it with warm water, dry it completely and rub in a thin layer of cooking oil before the first use. The seasoning gets stronger every time you cook with it.

Does it work on induction and gas?

Yes, the pans work on gas and induction cooktops. Cast iron heats slowly, so preheat on low to medium heat for a few minutes before you cook.

Can I use it in the oven?

The pans are solid cast iron with no plastic or wood parts, so they can handle oven heat. The handle gets just as hot as the pan, so always use an oven mitt.

Care guide: how do I clean it?

Let the pan cool until it is warm, then rinse it under hot water. Scrub gently with a brush, a sponge or a non-metal scraper. For stuck-on food, add a spoonful of coarse salt and rub it around with a paper towel. Then dry it right away.

Care guide: can I use soap?

Yes, a small amount of mild dish soap is fine on a seasoned pan. Rinse it well and dry it right away. Skip harsh scouring pads and long soaks, which can strip the seasoning.

Care guide: can it go in the dishwasher?

No. Dishwasher detergent and a long wet cycle strip the seasoning and can cause rust. Wash it by hand.

Care guide: how do I dry and oil it?

Dry it with a towel, then set the pan on a low burner for a minute or two until all the moisture is gone. Add a few drops of cooking oil and wipe a very thin layer over the inside and outside with a paper towel. Wipe off any extra so the surface does not feel sticky.

Care guide: how do I re-season it?

Wash and dry the pan well. Rub a very thin layer of cooking oil over the whole pan, then wipe off as much as you can so it looks almost dry. Place it upside down in a 450 F (230 C) oven for one hour, with a baking sheet on the rack below to catch drips. Let it cool in the oven. Repeat two or three times for a deeper seasoning.

Care guide: what if it gets rust spots?

Rust is common on cast iron and can be fixed. Scrub the spots with steel wool or a stiff brush until you see bare iron, rinse, dry the pan completely and re-season it using the steps above. Once it is re-seasoned, it is ready to cook again.

Care guide: why is my food sticking?

Sticking usually means the pan was heated too fast, there was not enough oil, or the food went in before the pan was warm. Preheat on low to medium heat, use a little oil or butter and give food a moment to release before you flip it. Sticking also fades as the seasoning builds.

Care guide: what should I avoid cooking?

Long simmers of very acidic food, such as tomato sauce or wine reductions, can dull the seasoning, especially while the pans are new. Searing, frying, sauteing, baking, eggs and pancakes are all great uses. Metal utensils are fine, though wood or silicone is gentler on the seasoning.

Care guide: how should I store it?

Store each pan completely dry in a dry spot. Hang them from the hole in the handle, or place a paper towel between pans if you stack them so it can absorb any moisture.

How do I track my order?

As soon as your order ships, you'll receive an email with a tracking link so you can follow it all the way to your door.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Reach out through our contact page as soon as possible and we'll do our best to update or cancel your order before it ships.

We know buying online means trusting what you see on screen. Try it in your home, with your routine. If it's not right for you, simply let us know within 30 days of delivery and we'll refund you in full.

Where do you ship to?

We currently ship to addresses in the United States, and shipping is free on every order. Please see our shipping policy for more details.

Can I return my order?

Yes. You have 30 days from delivery to return your order for a full refund. Email us with your order number and we'll send you return instructions. See our return policy for details.

How hot does the handle get?

The whole pan is cast iron, so the handle gets as hot as the pan. Always use an oven mitt or a thick towel when you move it.
